Judging

Judging is one of those things where on paper it is so simple, yet it takes so much time and practice to learn.

This small section of our website was designed to give you the basic rundown on judging to kickstart your judging career.

We recommend looking our our routine library to practice routines!
As judging is a subjective concept, its difficult to grasp as there are no concrete answers.

We hope these webpages, along with our certification will help you learn this awesome part of dressage.

Why Judging is Tricky

As mentioned above judging is specifically difficult because there is no objective way to do it.
It's all about your opinions and dressage experience, and how they affect your viewing of a routine.

Our general rule of thumb is that you should be advanced in our method/ dictionary before trying to judge.
be a good judge, you need to understand both riding in line and viewing a line, so it is the 'final' step in your dressage journey.
We also recommend some instructing experience before learning to judge.
(this is just a recommendation though, never too early to start learning!)

Unlike screen delay, there is no answer! It is individual, so we hope you can start that journey here.
